Born on 17 August 1979, Timisoara, Romania. One of the most popular contemporary Christian artists of Romania, the oldest of seven children, Catalina started her career as a musician at the age of six. She began studying violin at "Ion Vidu" Music School in |
her hometown where she discovered the beauty of music. Before entering her teenage years, she was already studying formally, but had simultaneously developed an interest in singing. After graduating from "Ion Vidu", she entered the Music Conservatory of Timisoara, one of the finest places for arts in the Country. Catalina is currently working on a solo project, which is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2004. |
On November 15th, 2004, Catalina Ilies-Morosan released her new studio album "Unde Strazile N-au Nume". This CD features compositions by Remus Morosan, brother of Catalina, who started this project. Remus talks about recording progress |
"It's been a few months since our last session in the studio together, but everything that we've done so far has been incredible", producer - Remus Morosan said. "We're very pleased with how things are going right now. All the tracks |

we've recorded are being mastered and the quality is pretty amazing. There's still a lot of work to be done, as far as mixing and editing goes, but we are making progress". Singer - Catalina Morosan is now taking some time off, after she got married in July. She will be back in the studio to finish recording her album in May 2003. "I am very proud of my sister Catalina who just got married this summer and I want to thank her for all the hard work she has done. The vocals on every track are just great. I also want to thank Loris and Manu for their time spent in the studio and for willing to work on this record together. We want this album to have an original sound; we want people to enjoy our music. And I know that this record has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. This is not just another album out there. I consider this music made for people that want to go underneath the surface, that want to live extraordinary lives. |
